Girlie Action

History
Girlie Action was founded in 1994 by Felice Ecker, a long-time media relations expert in the music industry. Ecker began her career at Elektra Records in 1987. She then became Director of Media Relations for Mute Records in 1990. She continues to manage full-time operations with Girlie Action.

In the late '90s, Girlie Action expanded its operations by taking on several Internet company clients, including Napster and EMusic. The success of those outlets greatly increased the firm's legacy. It has since become one of the larger New York-based indie firms.
