Description	Fanatic is a New York City-based publicity company working in all realms of independent media, but generally focused on music. Fanatic takes a very public approach to publicity. In addition to a traditional Web site, the firm also hosts a regularly updated blog and a podcast, though both are used for promotional, rather than strictly editorial, purposes. Pros	Fanatic is one of the few well-established publicity firms in the country that openly accepts new artist solicitations. Fanatic's rates are reasonable and their packages are specialized to clients' needs.
Cons	At an indie firm with a mid-sized staff, it can be easy to get lost on such a large roster. Be sure to develop a strong day-to-day relationship with your representative or you may find your investment wasted. Smaller firms may be more forthcoming in communications and updates.
